LEAD ENVIRONMENT ARTIST

We are currently seeking a passionate and self-motivated Lead Environment Artist to join our talented and creative team. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the development of awe-inspiring environments that bring our visionary gaming worlds to life across diverse internal and external projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Lead Environment Artist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead a team of artists in developing AAA-quality environments adhering to project guidelines.

  • Define art standards, promoting cohesion across creative materials.

  • Attend design reviews, iterating concepts based on feedback from cross-functional teams.

  • Collaborate with artists, designers, art directors to exchange creative directions.

  • Provide timely feedback, insights, documentation to guide the environment team.

  • Strategize with leadership to plan and schedule environment production.

  • Exemplify strong communication, organisation, problem-solving and teamwork skills.

  • Proven ability to motivate artists and meet tight deadlines.

  • Handle portions of environment art proactively to set the artistic vision.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive environment art creation and optimization experience for games.

  • Mastery of 3D tools like Maya, Blender, ZBrush and industry standards.

  • Excellent core skills - composition, attention to detail, creative process execution.

  • Deep knowledge of game engine best practices.

  • Outstanding portfolio showcasing creative talent and mastery over architectural environments as well as organic, natural landscapes.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

  • Experience with AGILE tools - Jira, Smartsheet.
